Capital Shopping Centres has received
planning consent to create 51,500 sq.ft.
of retail space (net increase of 38,000
sq.ft.) at The Glades shopping centre,
Bromley. Work started 2006 and the new units will be ready
for occupation by Spring 2008.
The new development on four floors, including
basement level, replaces existing High
Street buildings with modern retail space
and links into the malls at upper and lower
levels, forming an MSU of 30,190 sq.ft.
and 5 new shop units varying in size from
505 sq.ft. to 2,530 sq.ft. New toilets
with expanded baby change and other facilities
will also be created in a central location,
served by two new lifts.
This development represents an investment
of over £20m in The Glades in which
CSC has a 63.5% share.
