A retail led mixed use city centre scheme, where we are working in a 50:50 joint venture partnership with Land Securities PLC. Cardiff Council is the freeholder.
Outline planning consent has been obtained. A reserved matters application has now been made.
Due for completion in 2009, St. David’s 2 is an excellent example of a true mixed use city centre project combining retail, restaurants, cafés, new residential apartments and a refurbished public library. The masterplan proposals are carefully designed to respect the traditional street pattern and integrate with the historic arcades to encourage pedestrian permeability from all areas of the city. The proposals for the public realm include four new open spaces, with a specialist landscape architect being employed to ensure a comprehensive and cohesive approach.
